"Benovian" tapered octagonal planter boxes

This Chamisal-inspired planter box was a commissioned work for Benovia Winery in Santa Rosa, CA. They basically wanted a "Chamisal" look-a-like, but both octagonal in shape (to match their label) and a bit larger than the planters I'm accustomed to building. I hadn't tackled octagons prior to this, but the client and I were more than pleased with the results! (Please inquire for pricing.)

Modular, Redwood Flower Box

This client needed a custom-sized, redwood flower box mounted to her front balcony's deck rail. Since it's a lengthy 22', it had to be built in sections. What you see here are actually four (4), 5' 6" sections bolted together just prior to being disassembled for transport and installation. (Please inquire for pricing.)

Features:
- 3/4" redwood Sides and Top Rails.
- A full 1.5" thick redwood/plywood Bottom that's also
slanted at 4-degrees, forcing drainage to one side.
- Aesthetically pleasing, hex-head, galvanized hardware.
- Screening on the "drainage" side's interior, which
allows for water to pass, but not soil.
- Stack-jointed Top Rails (double rabbets).
- Weatherproofed throughout

"United Front" tapered square planter box

This client wanted a fancy box color-coordinated with her living room. To be fair, the bold-posted 'Starbuck' came first, but after some thought, I endeavoured to showcase panels versus posts, resulting in this internal-framed style intended to maximize panel visibility.

"Oakwood Knoll" tapered hexagonal planter boxes

This was a project for my first client. She wanted a design that would wear well in the outdoors yet not appear too out-of-place indoors either. The result was these "Twins", given as Christmas gifts to a son and daughter living in different states -- eventually placed: One in a courtyard, one in a bedroom. Fancy that.
