I'm often asked: "Why start with flower boxes?" Honestly, the answer is that I had a need at the time. Besides, flower boxes offer a world of possibilities with regard to color, texture, style, size, etc., as compared to more formal/constraining woodworking projects. They're a mere manifestation of my design and carpentry abilities, but I wanted to establish a firm beachhead before venturing into other product lines.
